Corsica
A piece of Italian history
Twinned in part to Sardinia, Corsica shares a long stretch of Italian history, so much so that names and languages still bear witness to the link with our country. Mountainous and a large island in the middle of the Mediterranean, it is not far from Liguria and the Riviera dei Fiori.
The fashionable coastal towns have made it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, as well as fascinating are also the inland parts, still very wild, thick with vegetation, forests and rocky mountains. Half of the island is in fact occupied by a park that includes hiking trails, all to be discovered.
